科学研究中有“大题小做”，也有“小题大做”。今晨翻阅LIBRI（Quarterly ISSN: 0024-2667，SSCI收录，2012年影响因子0.368）发现了一个算得上小题大做的范例。
   《老年人信息行为：从亲属处获取支助》(Pálsdóttir, á. (2012). Elderly peoples' information behaviour: accepting support from relatives. Libri, 62(2) 135–144)一文，该研究采基于草根理论（图谋注：一种研究社会生活的归纳方法，它试图通过比较观察来总结出理论。这根假设检验很不一样，在后者，假设来自于理论，并接受观察的检验。草根理论强调研究程序。系统的编码对于资料分析的效度和信度尤其重要。因为其关于资料的观点，多少带有实证主义色彩，草根理论非常注重定性研究和定量研究的结合。）的定性实地研究方法，研究对象样本量为70岁至90岁年龄范围内的16名老人（9位女性7位男性）及支助他们的20位亲属。所有访谈实施时间为2010年5月至2011年6月，地点为研究对象（参与者）家中，每位老人的访问持续时间为45-95分钟。
   作者ágústa Pálsdótti教授为冰岛大学社会科学院学院图书馆与信息科科学系系主任。关于老年人信息行为研究获得冰岛大学研究基金资助。经初步检索，ágústa Pálsdótti教授的老年人信息行为研究，采用同样的研究方法，同样的研究对象及所获取的研究资料，至少还发表有两篇SSCI收录论文，分别发表在SSCI收录的Information Research（OA期刊,2012影响因子为0.520，季刊）的2011年3期及2012年4期。
