瑞典斯德哥尔摩当地时间2016年10月3日中午11时30分,北京时间下午17时30分,2016年诺贝尔生理学或医学奖在瑞典卡罗林斯卡医学院()颁布揭晓,日本分子细胞生物学家,东京工业大学特聘教授:日本科学家大隅良典(Yoshinori Ohsumi,1945- )获得2016年诺贝尔生理医学奖,获奖原因:发现自噬机理。因大隅良典在细胞自噬功能方面的杰出研究荣获该奖项。
大隅良典(Yoshinori Ohsumi,1945- )
大隅良典1945 年出生于日本福冈(Fukuoka, Japan),是一位日本分子细胞生物学家,主要致力于细胞“自噬(autophagy)作用”的研究,现任日本东京工业大学(Tokyo Institute of Technology)教授。1974 年从东京大学(Tokyo University)获得博士学位。曾在洛克菲勒大学(Rockefeller University)工作。其后应东京大学教授安乐泰宏的邀请返回日本。1977-1988 年在东京大学任职。2004 担任综合研究大学院大学生命科学科兼任教授,2009 年退休后或名誉教授称号。同年任东京工业大学(Tokyo Institute of Technology)综合研究院特聘教授。
2013年,汤森路透(Thomson Reuters)公布的引文桂冠奖就有大隅良典教授,是因为在有关细胞“自噬作用”的研究中取得重要成果,预测有可能获得医学·生理学诺贝尔奖。时隔3年终于获奖了。
