不反对别人走捷径

因为水门事件坐牢的G. Gordon Liddy有一句话：

Obviously crime pays, or there'd be no crime.（显然犯罪是有好处的，否则世界上就没有犯罪了。）

显然，走捷径是有好处的，否则世界上就没有捷径了。所以，我从来不反对个人选择走捷径。个人选择走捷径是因为捷径不仅能走，而且走得通。

鲁迅先生也讲过：

其实地上本没有路,走的人多了,也变成了路。

同样，捷径本来不是路，走的人多了，自然也就成了必由之路。

所以，在《国内学术界学术偷窃和走捷径不是新鲜事》博文中，我提到了中国学术界的两条捷径，并不意味着我反对人们去走那两条捷径，如果走得通的话。何况，孔夫子早就说过：始作俑者，其无后乎？估计不管怎么反对，还是照样要有很多人去走的。

事实上，学术偷窃的事情，在国外学术界也时有发生，也未必都受到了严厉的惩罚；走学术捷径的事情，在国外学术界也可以说是屡见不鲜，也为必都一定带来坏的结果，有时候可能还是皆大欢喜。最主要的差别，在国外学术界那不是很多人都乐此不疲的正路，而在国内学术界却越来越像必由之途。

如果只是从个人层面来看这些事情，不走捷径的人，要么是傻瓜，要么是有更多企图。如果我们对这样的事情，只是停留在个人道德的层面去分析，其结果大概也只是要么是傻瓜，要么是别有用心。

雨果的《悲惨世界》中，Jean Valjean偷了神父的银盘子就跑，被警察抓住，神父反而替他开脱，说是自己送给他的，而且还说Jean Valjean还忘了拿走也送给他的银烛台。

所以，偷窃和走捷径并非一定会受到惩处，反而可能会变成Jean Valjean成为圣人的一个人生转折点，一旦他自己学会了问自己一个简单的问题：Who Am I？

当然，这个世界之所以会成为《悲惨世界》，主要是没有几个人问自己这个问题，或者即使问这个问题，也不愿意给出一个自己敢于面对的答案。

因为这个原因，我并不喜欢发明和杜撰了宏大理论来替无产阶级说话的卡尔 马克思，而更喜欢主张调和与资产阶级人道主义的维克多 雨果。
