I was  fortunate to be present among the audience at the first presentation of the Fuzzy Set Theory by Professor Lotfi Zadeh in 1964 when he was spending a sabbatical at MIT (the first paper on Fuzzy set was published in 1965). Now almost exactly half a century later, Fuzzy Logic  is a full  blown discipline and Professor Zadeh is still going strong overseeing the Berkeley  Institute forSoft Computing (BISC) at 90+ years old.
