题记：

  这是《魔戒》里的另一首诗《炉边遐思》，以前的译稿不见了，最近又译了一遍。

  以前我还译过《波罗莫的挽歌》 和《佛罗多的考验》。

背景介绍：

      这是老探险家比尔博吟唱的诗歌。

炉边遐思

我坐在炉边遐思
仿佛回到了从前
夏日里繁花似锦
草原上蝴蝶翻飞

秋晨里黄叶飘零
蛛网上沾满露珠
朝阳苍白而清冷
清风掠过我发梢

我坐在炉边冥想
仿佛看到了未来
寒冬在到处肆虐
阳春却遥不可及

有多少秀美山河
我尚未亲睹亲游
等春风拂过树林
处处都点染新绿

我坐在炉边追忆
朋友们飘零四方
后生们来日方长
世界也彻底变样

我坐在炉边神游
纵横古今与中外
同时耐心地等待
门前归人的脚步
